Murray (Twoey) HUTCHISON had many great stories to tell, before he died (1998). His daughter Jenni recorded some of his words, along with his brother Geoff & sister Esme, recording Hutchison family History.

He had a camera, back in the day when not many folk owned one, which gives us a glimpse into ‘how it was then’, from the early settlers arriving to Van Diemen’s Land from their Scottish Murray Clan. These kept diaries, including Gov. Macquarie’s record of his first visit to VanDiemen Land.

Jenni also recorded her mother Diana (Pike) Hutchison’s stories with her family. The Pike brothers, ‘Adventures at Sea’, and their parents stories.

Jenni named her collection ‘The BAYSIDERS’ (BC) ‘before computers’; with her own story (volumes 3 & 4) ‘How it was growing up in St.Helens’, ‘After High School’ and ‘My Life in a Sketch Book’.

Volumes 5,6 ++ showcase Tasmanian places.
